The Calgary Roughnecks have nine more Saturday nights to make the Scotiabank Saddledome shake.
Then the Rough House goes quiet.
Calgary released its 2026-27 National Lacrosse League schedule Tuesday, putting dates to a farewell season that will close the Roughnecks’ run beneath the Dome’s familiar saddle-shaped roof.
The final chapter begins Dec. 19 against the Colorado Mammoth. It ends April 17 against the San Diego Seals, the last regular-season Roughnecks game scheduled for the building the franchise has called home since entering the NLL in 2001.
Between those dates will come nine home games, all on Saturday nights. That is fitting for a team that built its identity around weekend noise, goal celebrations and a crowd encouraged to make lacrosse feel like a party.
The Dome has been more than an address for the Roughnecks. Three championship banners — 2004, 2009 and 2019 — hang from its rafters. Generations of players have run onto its turf while AC/DC blasted through the building. Thousands of fans have worn black, banged thundersticks and learned that a goalie save can be almost as loud as a goal.
Now every familiar routine comes with a “last” attached.
There will be one final home opener. One final St. Patrick’s Day Party, scheduled for March 13 against the Las Vegas Desert Dogs. One last regular-season walk down the concourse before San Diego visits in April.
Additional theme nights and farewell promotions will be announced later, giving the club opportunities to revisit more than two decades of games, personalities and championships. Scotia Place, under construction north of the Saddledome, is scheduled to open in fall 2027.
The 18-game schedule is divided evenly between home and road dates. Calgary will face every other NLL team and play seven opponents twice.

The season itself starts Dec. 4 in Halifax, meaning the Roughnecks will wait two weeks before beginning their Dome goodbye against Colorado. Once home, they will have a steady run of dates through winter and early spring, with the schedule offering familiar opponents and old rivals one final visit.
Whatever happens in the standings, this season will carry a different soundtrack. Every blast of the goal horn will feel borrowed. Every postgame salute will move the building closer to its last one.
The Roughnecks have spent 25 years raising banners, rattling boards and turning the Dome into the Rough House.
They now have nine nights to send it off properly.
